Am i out this month or did i test to early?

my last period was the 23rd of sep andmy cycle is every 28 days,me and my husband have been BD almost every day since the start of oct, yet i did an early response test today and it was negative, am i out this month or did i test to early? my af is due on monday, i know i ovulated this month asi had ewcm around the 4th to the 7th or so, iv been ttc for about 6 months now and its really getting to me that i haven't concieved yet, i do have a few symptoms, iv been having cramps for the last week or so and i have back pain quite low down, also been having headaches and dizzy spells aswell as hot flashes all for the last week or so, please answer ladies, that negative i got today has really disheartened me :(:(:(:(!!!
