How do i ask her out?

I really like this girl, but im the new kid in school, and i dont know too many people. I only have one cl with the girl i fiind extremely attractive, and im a pretty shy guy around girls, but she is really outgoing. Im pretty sure i stare at her... a lot... and i think shes beginning to notice. she kind of glances at me out of the corner of her eye a lot. Im too shy to go up and just ask her out, so is there any way i can maybe show her i like her... without being so straightforward?
