How can you tell if a Disney DVD is a copy?

I recently bought a Region 1 DVD of Lady and the Tramp but there's something about it that smells of a cheap copy. The inside cover has the feel of a dvd cover but it seems slightly faded. It might just be a hunch but I'm wondering is there anyway you can tell for sure? Should it have a disney hologram for example? (it doesn't)
