Given the French name it probably would be pronounced FAV-ruh (the FAV rhyming with 'have') but the fact is they pronounce it wrong when they reverse the order of the V and the R. But ignorance is bliss. We have a guy named Rick Boucher who insists on calling himself BOW-cher instead of boo-SHAY. Go figure. I know people changed pronunciations over the years to try to "fit in" but since the USA is a melting pot, why not just be authentic and keep your actual name? Hard to understand.
